A complete, type centric redesign of Arthur Conan Doyle's second Sherlock Holmes novel, "The Sign of The Four."

RESEARCH
After reading and researching the Sherlock Holmes novels, significant notes were made in regards to the quirkiness of Sherlock Holmes' character, and the relationship between John Watson and Mary Morstan. Old letterpress and other notes and elements from intricate mystery novels, movies, and shows were a source of inspiration.
GOALS
Shed light to Sherlock Holmes' character and way of being, as well as explore Watson's relationships and first person perspective through expressive typography. Lean in to the intelligence and detective qualities presented while Holmes searches for The Great Agra Treasure.
THE SOLUTION
From cover to cover, to page color and font choice, all the way to additional inserts, the book uses several visual and physical elements to further express Holmes' unique personality and Watson's emotions throughout their adventure, as well as invite the reader to engage and interact with the mystery themselves.
